At 42, the Dominican continues to add historic numbers that will accompany his resume at the end of his career and on Wednesday night, he became the only Latino with 2,200 RBI.
Pujols is right behind Aaron, who finished with 2,297 in 13,941 plate appearances over 23 seasons, and Ruth, who amassed 2,214 in 22 seasons with just 10,626 diamond appearances.
‘The machine’ he got his historic RBI in a 4-on-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers when he hit a brace bottom of the eighth to center field that brought Tyler O’Neill to the rubber.
To this day, the designated hitter and first baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals remains in search of the mythical figure of 700 homers under the big tent, with only three homers separating him, subtracting 20 games from his team in the regular season.

For Albert Pujols, it was his only hit of the day in three at bats, being sixth in the designated order.
In the 2022 season, the last of his career, according to what he said, the Quisqueyan is batting .266 with 18 home runs, 49 RBIs and 31 runs scored in 91 games.
