The need for more downforce at the Zandvoort circuit caused teams to revert to the specs they were using earlier in the season, rather than seek further tweaks to their aero packages.
Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes haven’t changed their plans much and haven’t introduced any aerodynamic upgrades for this weekend, while Alpine, who have been consistent in introducing updates at every race in 2022 , modified its beam spoiler and front spoiler.
The beam wing (main article photo) on Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon’s A522 features a new upper element that has a shorter stroke to help reduce drag while increasing downforce.

The front wing has also been slightly modified, with a smaller wing at the top, in search of greater efficiency but without losing downforce.

AlphaTauri has also introduced a new modified rear wing, with an updated front end that features a tighter transition to the end plate. There is also a larger cutout on the back.

Williams modified the end plate of its front spoiler, with a reprofiling of the two upper elements of the spoiler in the area where they join the sidewall.
The goal is to alter the downforce of these elements, which influences the flow field through this area to improve stability and airflow throughout the rest of the car.

Alfa Romeo was the other team that made changes to its car, evidenced by the reshaping of its rear brake ducts, to help direct airflow to the diffuser more efficiently.
