Chadwick’s goal: to reach F1 “within five years”
The Briton assures that her goal is to participate in the “Grand Cirque”
He considers that if he succeeds in the lower categories, he will arrive
Jamie Chadwick wants to make it to Formula 1. The Briton says that’s her goal and she hopes to achieve it in five years. In the meantime, he considers that he still has various challenges ahead of him and hopes to successfully overcome them to “land” in the “Grand Circus”.
Chadwick confidently leads the W Series standings – he has a 122-point advantage over Alice Powell – and is on his way to his third consecutive title in the category.
Now, the British driver assures that she aims to reach Formula 1, but she is aware that she still has a long way to go. “My goal is definitely to try to get there in five years.“, assured the driver of the W series in statements published by the web portal F1i.com.
“There are a lot of things that I have to accomplish at the moment, but my objective remains to move into the right category and to succeed in being in Formula 1 in two years,” he explained.
Chadwick is confident that if she manages to succeed in other categories, she will achieve her goal and stresses the importance of having support throughout the process. “I know that if I succeed in the right category of promotion, I will be in Formula 1“, he stated.
“That’s my focus at the moment, trying to do that and using the platforms I have, relying on people who believe in it and really see it as possible,” said the Briton.
“Even people like Andretti gave me the opportunity to try, they believe in it,” he said.
Looking ahead to next season, the British rider wants to take the next step in her sporting career and she has several options to achieve this.
“The options are open… Formula 3, Formula 2 and Indy Lights are some of the options what I was looking for,” he commented.
“Conversations are underway in Europe and America,” he said to close.
