F1 2022: Williams skips Latifi for 2023

Williams race announced that does without the services of Nicholas Latifi (Montreal, 1995), as the official driver of his F1 team at the end of this season.

“Williams Racing and Nicholas Latifi will part ways at the end of the 2022 season. We would like to thank Nicky for her commitment and hard work over the past three years and wish her all the best in the next stages of her career.”

The team remembers Alex Albon will continue next year and that it will announce its full lineup of drivers for 2023 “in due course.”

Nicholas Latifi: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Williams Racing, everyone at the factory and those I have worked with on the track, over the past three years. My first F1 debut has been postponed due to of the pandemic, but we finally got to go to Austria (2020) and although we didn’t get the results we were hoping for together, it was a fantastic trip. Hunger Last year was a time I will never forget, and I will approach the next chapter of my career with special memories of my time with this team. I know none of us stop trying until the end of the season.”

Jost Capito, CEO and Team Principal: “On behalf of the entire team, I would like to say a huge thank you to Nicholas for his three years of hard work with Williams. He is an excellent team player who has a great attitude towards his colleagues and his work and who is appreciated and respected throughout the company. Our time together is coming to an end, but I know he will do everything he can to maximize what we can do together for the rest of this season. We wish him well for his future, both in and out of the cockpit.”
