Formula 1 president Stefano Domenicali has positively assessed a possible return of the German Grand Prix to the World Cup calendar, assuring that they are “working to find a solution”.

“I would love to. We are working to see if we can find a solution. There are many, many requests at the moment, it’s impressive,” the Italian told Sky TV ahead of Sunday’s race at Spa. .

The Hockenheimring circuit last hosted a Formula 1 race in 2019. The Nürburgring also hosted one in 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic caused schedule cancellations.

In addition, the ‘Grand Circus’ announced this Sunday that the Belgian circuit of Spa-Francorchamps will also be part of the World Cup in 2023. The organizers have invested in the traditional Belgian circuit and have remodeled it for this season, but the layout in the Ardennes region was a candidate for cancellation.
