Kirk Herbstreit updates the top six with an interesting team at #4
ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit updated its top six rankings after a crazy week 10 (Ranking below).
In Herbstreit’s top-6, I don’t expect anyone to have questions about teams 1-3. But at number 4 people will have questions. Herbstreit has Oregon sitting in fourth place, meaning if the College Football Playoff started today, the 8-1 Ducks would win the tournament. Oregon’s only loss this season was a 49-3 loss to Georgia in the season opener.
If we’re ranking one-loss teams, is Oregon better than Tennessee? I doubt. Both have one loss each: to Georgia.
Check out Herbstreit’s top six, plus each team’s national title odds (courtesy BetMGM), after week 10:
Tennessee Volunteers (8-1)
Week 10: Lost to Georgia, 27-13
Odds for the national title: +2,000
TCU Horned Frogs (9-0)
Week 10: Beat Texas Tech, 34-24
Odds for the national title: +3,000
Michigan Wolverines (9-0)
Ohio State Buckeyes (9-0)
Week 10: Beat Northwestern, 21-7 (Buckeyes Wire)
Odds for the national title: +200
Georgia Bulldogs (9-0)
Week 10: Defeated Tennessee, 27-13
Odds for the national title: +110
