LeBron James asked why NBA players didn’t speak out against Kyrie Irving

First time since then Kyrie Irving shared an anti-Semitic film on social media last Friday, LeBron James raised questions about it, calling his former team-mate’s actions “harmful” and saying he did not condone “any kind of hatred of any kind”.

Speaking to reporters after a 130-116 loss to the Jazz, the Lakers star was asked why players around the league are keeping quiet about Irving’s situation.

“I can’t speak for the 450 players,” James he said Friday nightbefore giving his personal thoughts on the matter.

“I can tell you this. It’s simple. I personally do not condone any hatred of any kind,” he said. “On any race. Jewish communities, black communities, Asian communities. You guys know what I’m on about.”

James then alluded to his media company Uninterrupted’s recent decision not to air an episode of his show Shop featuring Ye, in which the rapper reportedly hasn’t backed down from a recent spate of anti-Semitic comments.
