MSNBC Fires Host Tiffany Cross After Offensive Comments in Florida

MSNBC has cut ties with weekend anchor Tiffany Cross, a day after she called Florida a “d*** country,” according to reports.

The network decided not to renew Cross’ contract after two years and fired her, effective immediately, per Diversity. The production staff on her show, The Cross Connectionwill remain online in various roles.

Sources said Diversity Cross’s relationship with the network “strained” and that executives were concerned about her willingness to addressing statements by cable news anchors on other networks and her comments that did not meet the standards of MSNBC or NBC News.

The final straw may have been the comments Cross made as a guest Charlamagne Tha God’s Hell week show on Thursday, sources said New York Post.

Cross and other panelists were asked which swing state Democrats can afford to lose in the midterms.

Cross called out Florida, saying it “literally looks like d*** country.”

“Ron DeStupid, Ron DeSantis, whatever you want to call the Florida man, he’s so troublesome,” she said. “He’s peddling stupidity and ignorance, and I just think they’re a problem for the rest of the country. Let’s get them out.”

Cross has previously come under fire for other controversial statements, including when she suggested that progressives should “pick up your weapon and engage” in the “war” for the survival of the country, although he seemed to be speaking metaphorically.
