Nick Carter breaks down in tears as he remembers his brother Aaron during a Backstreet Boys concert – rock
As the group performed “No Place” during their show at the O2 Arena, pictures of Nick and Aaron appeared on the big screens. After the band finished their set, Kevin Richardson took a moment to address the crowd.
“That was the last single from the ‘DNA’ album and that song is very special to us because it’s about family,” he said as the crowd roared in support of Nick.
Richardson continued to thank the audience and at one point AJ McLean approached Nick to give him a hug, with Brian Littrell joining in afterwards.
“We’re a little heavy-hearted tonight because we lost one of her family members yesterday,” Richardson continued.
Nick is seen in the background wiping away tears and dedicating their next song to Aaron.
Nick is earlier taken to Instagram to share a post dedicated to Aaron.
“My heart is broken. Even though my brother and I had a complicated relationship, my love for him never faded,” he said. “I always hoped that somehow, one day, he would want to take a healthy path and eventually he finds the help he so desperately needs. Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for the loss but the truth is addiction and mental illness is the real villain here. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz. Now you can finally have a peace that you could never find here on earth… I love you brother.”
