And it is that the university club announced this Wednesday afternoon that it had decided to temporarily separate the director of the basic forces of the team, Raúl Alpízar, and the viewer Esteban González, after being accused of requesting an amount monthly to parents of players for your children to add minutes of play.

According to an investigation by the Mexican newspaper Reforma, Alpízar asked for the money through trainers belonging to the lower categories of felines. These monthly payments vary between 4 and 8 thousand pesos, said the footballers’ parents.

Meanwhile, Esteban González, whose supervisor is Alpízar, allegedly demanded between 149 and 179 thousand pesos to register infants in the groups of the lower divisions of felines.

El Reforma reported that González replaced Pedro Solís in May 2021, who was fired for asking for money to register young players.

The newspaper pointed out that the president of the Pumas, Leopoldo Silva, and the vice-president of sports, Miguel Mejía Barón, were not aware of these practices, for which they decided to remove these technicians from their posts without remuneration during that they conduct an internal investigation. .

The Pumas, in which Brazilian multi-champion Dani Alves plays, have reported that Mejía Barón, through his assistant Jorge Vantolrá, will take charge of the basic forces of university students during the investigation.

“After the investigation, the responsibilities will be determined and if any anomaly is verified, legal proceedings will be brought until the last consequences against those responsible,” promised the Pumas.
