Takeoff shooting – latest: Migos rapper’s coroner’s report reveals new details of death as Offset pays tribute

Migos: Last Instagram Story of Take Off Before Fatal Shooting

Takeoff, member of the rap trio Migoswas killed on Tuesday (November 1st) in Houston, Texas.

The rapper – full name Kirshnik Khari Ball – was 28 years old.

Officers were called around 2:34 a.m. local time (7:34 GMT) to a shooting outside 810 Billiards and Bowling Alley in downtown Houston, where a private party of about 40 people was being held.

Takeoff and fellow Migos member Quavo were in attendance. Quavo – real name Quavious Keyate Marshall – was not injured in the altercation. The third member of Migos, Offset, was not present.

An argument ensued, allegedly over a dice game, and shots were fired, causing many people to flee the scene in panic.

Takeoff was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not name the victim at the time, but identified him as a black man in his 20s. Takeoff’s representatives were the first to confirm his death, followed shortly by a police report.

His death was mourned by industry figures and fans alike, with tributes pouring in on social media for the late rapper.

Celebrities including James Corden, Drake, SZA, Outkast and Khloé Kardashian shared posts remembering the rapper.

So far, no suspects have been arrested with Houston Police Chief Troy Finner calling witnesses to “deal” with information about the shooting.

The police, as well as the rapper’s fans, have called on others to remove graphic videos of the incident circulating online.


Where is Quavo after the death of fellow Migos rapper Takeoff?

Following the news of Takeoff’s tragic death, concerned fans have been wondering about the status of his bandmate The Migos and uncle Quavo, who was present during the fatal incident.

According to Houston police, Quavo, who was present at the time of the incident, and Takeoff were at a private party before the fatal shooting.

In a subsequent update, police tweeted: “Two other victims taken by private vehicles to hospitals.”

At a press conference later on Tuesday (1 November), the police chief said a 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman had been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the incident.

The news seemingly confirms that Quavo, 31, is not among the injured, but his status remains unknown.
