The judge in the case of Paul Pelosi’s attacker worked with the speaker’s daughter
The San Francisco judge handling the assault case against Nancy Pelosi’s husband revealed Friday that she worked with their daughter in the 1990s.
Judge Loretta Giorgi revealed in court that she was once a colleague of Christine Pelosi in the San Francisco City Attorney’s office, but said she had not spoken to her in several years.
“I want to put it on the record that she is a daughter sir. Pelosi, Christine Pelosi and I were in the city attorney’s office together in the 90s,” Giorgi said in court. “And I found myself counseling the interactions I had while she and I were together. I have not seen, heard or spoken to Mrs. Pelosi since she left office. I see her here today.”

She made the disclosure suspect David DePape attorneys and city attorneys have an opportunity to voice concerns about the association. They declined to do so on Friday, but may raise objections in the future.
One of Nancy Pelosi’s five children, Christine Pelosi is active in local Democratic politics and is seen as a potential successor to her mother after she retires.
Giorgi was an employee of the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office for more than 20 years before being appointed a judge in 2006, and at one point served as chief of public integrity.

She is currently overseeing the case against DePape, who is accused of battery Paul Pelosi with a hammer at the family’s Pacific Heights home on October 28, and planned to kidnap his absent wife.
A Berkeley drifter faces charges of attempted murder, burglary and elder abuse after allegedly leaving Pelosi with a fractured skull, and has pleaded not guilty.
Paul Pelosi was released from the hospital Thursday as he recovers from his injuries.

“Paul remains under medical care as he continues to progress through a long process of recovery and recovery,” Nancy Pelosi said.
