Verstappen ve a Ferrari “fuerte” for Zandvoort
The Dutchman is ‘very keen’ to race at home
Sergio Pérez hopes to approach Max at Zandvoort
Max Verstappen is confident Scuderia Ferrari will be in fine form at Zandvoort, where the Dutch GP takes place this weekend.
The Dutchman will be racing at home and will obviously want to repeat the success he achieved last year, but he knows it won’t be easy for him against Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.
Although Red Bull has won on twisty circuits like Monaco or the Hungaroring, the F1-75 is a curve-loving car. For this reason, the current world champion expects strong competition from the Maranello team.
“After the successful weekend we had at Spa-Francorchamps, I’m really looking forward to the Dutch GP,” Verstappen said in the GP preview.
“A lot more downforce is needed at Zandvoort so it will be harder for us to be dominant and I expect Ferrari to be strong here.”
“Of course I want a good result, but it’s important to always score points and I hope we can do a good job. It will be great to have my family there to support me and I will enjoy the weekend with all the fans.”
On the other hand, his teammate, Sergio Pérez, assures that the Zandvoort circuit is demanding and he hopes to get closer to Max
“It’s great to be back in Zandvoort, it’s a great place. The fans are amazing for the team and their support for Max is crazy, it’s great. It’s a good circuit, it’s great. is very difficult and we hope to keep the momentum going from Belgium.” added the Mexican.
“We will analyze everything in Belgium to see where we can get closer to Max, I want to make sure we can come back stronger. I have work to do and I want to keep pushing. I think this circuit will bring us closer all, so it will be an exciting weekend,” Pérez said in conclusion.
